Job Description
The Arrest Warrant Clerk is responsible for processing arrest warrants issued by the courts, including checking for corrections, coding warrants with charges, and updating or canceling computerized warrant data. Duties involve preparing executed and recalled warrants for return to court, photocopying warrants for extradition purposes, and investigating individuals with active felony warrants to assist detectives in arrests. The clerk also handles incoming phone calls, verifies active warrants for police agencies, sends notices for active warrants, maintains a filing system, and purges outdated traffic warrants. Additional responsibilities include ordering office supplies, maintaining REJIS certifications, and performing other related tasks as required.
Education Requirements
Graduation from high school and two (2) years of general clerical experience, including one year of data entry experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
